My folks are front the “Old Country” and my Grandma told me once the story surrounding the death of my Grandpa Vinny. Back in the 1960’s Grandpa Vinny was one of the chief design engineers for the Ferrari GT racing effort. Enzo was a hard man to work for. Grandma told me that Enzo and Vinny would argue bitterly about design details. Enzo was always pushing the envelope but Grandpa wanted quality. Well one day Grandpa Vinnie got into an argument with Enzo about the car and in a heated moment he told Enzo t hat he would go start a car company with his engineering team and design a better car himself. He vowed to put Enzo out of business and he would you Ferrari’s own best minds to do it. Grandpa Vinnie quit the company and two weeks later died in a first crash in his personal Ferrari. The inquest said it was questionable modifications that caused the crash and fire but grandma always new that old Enzo probably had his “connections” deal with the competition. Ever since I’ve distrusted Ferrari.

There’s no way a trust worthy company like Ferrari would do something like that. Next you’ll be telling me that they illegally modified mileage numbers to inflate the prices of some of their used exclusive cars like the F70 (It’s other name is dumb and doesn’t count).
